Your baby’s first day at the beach – Quite an experience

Your baby’s first day at the beach is one of those moments that remains etched in the memory as a very special moment. It is the first time they see the sea, they step on the sand for the first time and of course they see how the waves come and go.

But summer and the beach hide dangers such as heat and sun and therefore we must take many precautions especially if we go with our baby.

First of all, it is not advisable to take a baby to the beach until 6 months of age, since at a younger age it should not be exposed to the sun. If you go to the beach or pool, you should stay covered under an umbrella and preferably dressed.

Precautions

Babies do not regulate heat or sweating, so heatstroke is likely if certain important recommendations are not followed.

The smaller it is, the more protection it will need, as we have said previously, children under 6 months should not be exposed to the sun.

The sunscreen must be waterproof and must be spread over the entire body, including ears, neck, nose, always half an hour before being exposed to the sun. Renew it every 2 or 3 hours.

Wear approved glasses to prevent ultraviolet rays.

Wear beach shoes to protect you from the hot sand and heat.

Fun

Once the precautions to avoid serious problems have been taken into account, the fun begins on your first day at the beach.

Letting him experiment and at the same time play with him with the sand, making shapes, or on the shore so that he feels the waves (always by your side), is a wonderful way for him to enjoy the environment.

You can also take your own children’s pool to the beach. So you have him controlled and cool.
